IL PORTALE DE LEVA
Il palazzo si affaccia sulla
omonima via,
seminascosto dal rigoglioso fogliame dei
rampicanti. E' sovrastato dallo stemma
della famiglia. Di notevole interesse il trecentesco Portale, preceduto da un piccolissimo sagrato, che immetteva nella
Chiesa dei Santi Apostoli Filippo e Giacomo; divenuta nell' 800 cappella privata della famiglia De Leva.
The building points out towards the
homonymous street and its is half-hidden
by the luxuriant creeping foliage. It is
overlooks by the family escutcheon. The
fourteenth - century front door is
remarkable interesting. It is preceding by
a little churchyard that brings to “ Santi
Apostoli Filippo and Giacomo ” church.
It became the private chapel of “De Leva”
family by 800.
Das
sich neben dei Kirche des SS. Salvatore befindende Portal De Leva, ist
das schönste Portal der ganzen Stadt. Mit seinem
arabisch‑normannischen Stil gehört es zur chiaromontanischen Kunst.
Das Portal muß einst Teil einer jetzt zerstörten Familienkappelle
gewesen sein.
Sein Baujahr ist ungewiss; die Schätzungen reichen vom 13. bis zum 15. Jahrhundert.
Seine außergewöhnliche Handarbeit, eine mit größter Sorgfalt in lokales Gestein gearbeitete Spitze, wird von Kennern und Liebhabern einer von Details bereicherten Kunst besonders geschätzt.
